Well, I'm not in Bethlehem yet, but I'll be headed that direction in less than a month! This thought inspires both a great deal of excitement and a tinge of nervousness; it will be a drastic change, but it is one which I really look forward to adapting to and learning from.Depending on my schedule while I'm over there, I will be trying to update this blog two or three times per month to let everyone know what is going on and how I'm doing. I hope to use this as a tool to connect with y'all back in the U.S.—it is undoubtedly going to be a challenging summer for me in many ways, but I know it will help to feel some connection back home.
If you're interested in learning more about the program of which I will soon be a part, you can visit Palestine Summer Encounter's website: http://www.palestinesummer.org/ .
Thank you so much for your support in this endeavor. I truly desire that this summer God would stretch and challenge me to personally develop while using me for God's purposes of loving and serving the oppressed people of Palestine. Your financial contributions and your prayers and thoughts are a tremendous blessing and appreciated beyond measure!
Blessings!
(More posts will be coming probably around the end of May when I finish the Bluffton Cross-cultural component of my trip. Shalom until then :)
